At the 80th International Agrucultural Fair, held in Novi Sad in period 18.05.2013 - 24.05.2013. year, the Institute of Agricultural economics was awarded as "BEST IN AGRIBUSINESS" for the 60. years of continuous publication of Journal "ECONOMICS OF AGRICULTURE" and successful promotion of agro-economic thought in Serbia and world.

Journal during his so long and constant duration has changed form and name, adapted his concept and content-profile and the dynamic of his publishing activity. The firt number was published on February 1954th., entilated "Morning" and since 1964th., was published under the present name "Economics of agriculture". For 60 years in regular publishing, in 460 volumes, was published a large numbe of scientific papers, both domestic and foreigm authors.

Based on the bibliometric analysis in past few years and the Criteria for determining the category of scientific publications, as established National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, the Journal "ECONOMICS OF AGRICULTURE" is categorized as Journal of International significance (M 24).

International scientific journal "ECONOMICS OF AGRICULTURE" published quarterly the Balkan Scientific Association of Agricultural Economists (BSAAE) in collaboration with the Institute of Agricultural Econimics from Belgrade and Academy of Economic Studies from Bucharest, which are published original research papers (peer-reviewed twice), review articles, short communications, book reviews, short reviews, and research reports.

Journal ECONOMICS OF AGRICULTURE published scientific papers from field: agrobusiness, agricultural economics, market, marketing, sustainable agriculture, human resource management, strategic planing of sustainable agriculture and rural development, project management, rural and eco-tourism, farm management, agricultural investments, production management crops, use and protection of resources and environment and so on. The journal is published in English.
