The first phase of the project „Studying an impact of the preparation „Aquastatin“ on physical, water, chemical and biological characteristics of land in terms of
lettuce (Lactuca sativa) production in cloches”
Within the implementation of the project „Studying an impact of the preparation „Aquastatin“ on physical, water, chemical and biological characteristics of land in terms of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) production in cloches” on 18th December 2012 was finished its first phase. The first phase of the project implied taking care of the following activities:
• Selection of adequate winter sort and production of lettuce nursery plant,
• Application of all agro-technical measures aiming to prepare the land for sowing/planting,
• Plots measuring,
• Sampling the land for necessary physical, water, chemical and biological characteristics,
• Application of „Aquastatin“ preparation, and
• Sowing/planting the lettuce.
Micro-experiment was based on a simple scheme of a mono-factor experiment, with 4 plots (2 control plots and 2 plots with application of „Aquastatin“preparation) in the cloche in Veliko Selo. The experiment observation will be on daily basis, in order to perceive timely the eventual morphological changes on the lettuce crops on the plots treated with the „Aquastatin“preparation.
The representatives of the Institute of Agricultural Economics, Natasa Kljajic, PhD, Velibor Potrebic, M.A., Svetlana Roljevic, engineer, Marijana Jovanovic, engineer, were attending the first project's phase realization, as well as the representatives of the preparation and associates of the „Aquastatin“company: Zeljko Budrovic, Dragan Piscevic, Nevena Krivokapic and Bosko Jakovljevic, as well as the owner of the cloche Milan Petrovic, his wife Ljiljana and mother Gordana.
